8 Days of Edutainment, Beats & Creative Expression
808 week
you heard about it,
now be a part of it
808 Day (August 8) honors the legendary 808 drum — a sound that reshaped hip-hop, electronic, and pop music. One day isn’t enough.
808 Week is a citywide series of free music events presented by Reaching Early Creatives (REC). Across eight days, Atlanta’s creative community comes together for performances, workshops, and hands-on experiences that celebrate the power of sound and self-expression.
The week ends with our signature 808 Day Block Party, a free all-ages event packed with music, food, and interactive fun.
